Today I go back to this beautiful place but for a totally different reason this time: a 10 day meditation course. I have absolutely no idea what to expect, but I’ve been told that it’s good to go in with no expectations. Meditation has been something I’ve attempted for the past year or so but I can’t say I’ve had much success with. The result of my practice can be summed up in 2 ways: my mind is either racing all over the place, contemplating on something I did in summer 2007 (🤯) or I’m so relaxed I fall asleep (😴 does this happen to anybody else?)! So, 10 days of noble silence, zero social interaction, no electronics, books, or diaries will be the strangest feeling and possibly one of the hardest experiences but I’m ready to try it! I want to challenge my body and mind in the hopes of introducing something that can change my life for the better. Isn’t that what travelings all about anyway? Stepping into the unknown and hoping it all goes well? (And about 1% of the time, it doesn’t all go well… AKA my skydiving experience, leaving me with a bigger fear of heights than ever 🤦🏽♀️😂 - scroll down for photo evidence!)
